Outside the activity of the larger national/regional contract cleaner, there is a hugely mobile sector of the market comprising cleaners who specialise in niche sectors, or are local in their activity.
The nature of this large market of smaller operators is that it is extremely conservative in its selection of cleaning equipment, often never looking beyond historic manual cleaning equipment as its 'tools of trade'.
However, with a client base increasingly demanding higher hygiene standards, and requiring more daytime cleaning arising from enhanced security concerns, there is a trend for the smaller cleaner to seek out more sophisticated cleaning equipment.
A fact reflected in the high incidence of telephone enquiries received by I.C.M.M.A, the Industrial Cleaning Machine Manufacturers Association.

The web-site, www.icmma.org.uk , not only details suppliers of cleaning machines; it identifies the product ranges available from each supplier.
Furthermore, it goes beyond this, identifying publications issued by I.C.M.M.A. Technical Panel and also includes a New Product page and an Industry News page, www.icmma.org.uk is designed to be the place to go for any cleaning contractor wishing to keep abreast of cleaning machines and their availability.
