About ICMMA

Chairman

Kevin Day

Kevin Day was elected to the post of Association Chairman during the 2005 AGM. As a relative newcomer to Association life, having only served three years as a member of the General Committee, one of the new Chair's first jobs was to review the Association's Secretariat services. This review culminated in the appointment of Graham Jones.

ICMMA Secretariat

Graham Jones

April 2006 saw the Secretariat of the Association change. The change introduces real industry experience to the fulfilment of this role and it is expected that this will be of significant advantage to our trade association.

Graham Jones was, for over eighteen years, the Managing Director of a major supplier of industrial cleaning machines to the British market.

During this period, Graham was Chairman of our Association for a three year spell which brought with it an active role with the organising body responsible for the British Cleaning Show, held every second year, alternating with Interclean.

He continues to be deeply involved in the affairs of the Cleaning industry through participation in the British Cleaning Council (BCC), the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc), The Building Cleanability Awards promoted by The Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners and the development of the Pathway Card in association, with Asset Skills, amongst others.

Prior to involvement in the Cleaning Industry, Graham's experience was very broad based covering Directorships across the spectrum of Technical, Production, Sales and General Management all in a variety of Industries.

With this change, the expectation is that the Trade Association can move forward and develop it's involvement in the Industry at large and progressively grow it's membership such that it becomes an increasingly powerful voice in the councils of the Cleaning Industry.

Together, Kevin and Graham hope to build on ICMMA's well established reputation, developing an association which is strategically advantageous to its members Kevin states categorically that "Like any association, ICMMA is input/output driven and by developing the Association's brand I hope to attract new participating members. In a very commercially minded market sector ICMMA, just like a performance led manufacturer, has to constantly review and evolve its product and service."
